Cognitivism
Cognitivism is a belief or position within meta-ethics, which is concerned with investigating whether or not morality exists (i.e. whether or not words like "good", "evil", "right", and "wrong" mean anything). This course covers the types of cognitivism, including divine command theory, error theory, intuitionism, and naturalism; the ideas of key thinkers (e.g. G. E. Moore, J. L. Mackie, R. A. Sharpe, and Richard Dawkins); and evaluating the different types of cognitivism. This course is designed for anyone interested in cognitivism; however, it's specifically linked to specification content for the following qualifications.
