Social Ethics

Social ethics is a branch of applied ethics, which is concerned with how human beings should treat others in society. This course covers approaches to social ethics (e.g. pre-Enlightenment, and post-Enlightenment); issues in social ethics (e.g. sexism, racism, and ableism); the ideas of key thinkers (e.g. Martin Luther King Jr and Joni Eareckson Tada); debates on social ethics; and the legal, social, and religious perspectives in the area. This course is designed for anyone interested in environmental ethics; however, it's specifically linked to specification content for the following qualifications.
